As a solo harpist she has given many recitals at major London venues including St Martin’s-in-the-Fields, and she played at St James’s Palace for a celebration of the Queen Mother’s 100th birthday. She has appeared at the Swaledale Festival, toured the Mediterranean aboard the QE2, performed the Debussy Dances with the Dart Festival Orchestra, and the Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto with the Ten Tors Orchestra. As part of her award from the Martin Musical Fund, in 2004 she toured with the Unicorn Theatre Project / Philharmonia Orchestra for their production of the opera Clockwork, culminating in performances at the Linbury Studio Theatre, Covent Garden. She also travelled to Lebanon with the Young Janacek Orchestra as Principal Harp. More recently she was awarded 2nd Prize at the hotly contested 2005 London Harp Competition and also performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra in Seville and for their 2006 Music Of Today series at the QEH.

A keen chamber musician, she is a member of the Swan Duo with cellist Jessica Burroughs and plays in an oboe and harp duo with her sister Caroline. Both duos have done concerts as part of the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme, and the Swan Duo was recently selected as one of the   Recommended Artists for the 2006 Making Music Young  Concert Artists Award. She is also a member of the award-winning Four Girls/Four Harps, who's music has been broadcast on Classic FM and BBC Radio 2's 'Friday Night is Music Night' series. They have played at many prestigious venues such as St James’s Piccadilly and  St George’s Bristol, and were invited to perform at the 9th World Harp Congress in Dublin.

On the lighter side she has played in all the major London Hotels including Claridges, The Ritz and the Dorchester Hotel, she has dressed up as an angel to appear at Fabric Night Club, duetted live with Dermot O'Leary on Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother, toured with the QE2 cruise ship, and  performed for BBC 1's Songs of Praise. Her repertoire is enormously varied and she is happy to take requests with advance warning, and where possible, on the day.

Even with such experience, she still performs at numerous weddings throughout London and surrounding counties. She enjoys playing such an important part in a bride and grooms special day and to this end she has made performing at weddings her speciality.

Wedding Harpist London, Review 1

As we had a civil service which could very easily have been quite functional, we were keen to make the service ‘special’. She played beautifully throughout the service and turned it into an ‘event’. She also played throughout the wedding breakfast and gave real ambience to the proceedings. She was very willing to perform whatever we asked for, or to offer suggestions if we needed them. A lovely girl, on time, well presented – she even matched her dress to our colour theme!!

She was brilliant last Saturday. Bearing in mind it was for a funeral of a young man, she sat where the parents of the deceased wanted her to and played beautifully. I am no expert but I thought she was, not only very talented but very accommodating and sensitive to the nature of the occasion.

Richard Davies Investor Relations hired Harpist SE20 for an outdoor drinks reception on 19 July 2007 in the premises of the Royal Garden of Physicians. The music was a perfect backdrop for the setting, and we received very positive feedback from our guests with regard to Harriet’s performance. Not only did se play very well, but was timely, professional, and looked very elegant. I would be very happy to recommend her.

Also very happy with the service we received from yourselves.

Do you have any harpists in Edinburgh by the way? We’re tentatively arranging a similar event up there next year. Nothing definite but we’ve penciled in 24th April as a tentative.

With thanks and kind regards,  Louise.

She made a fantastic contribution to the magic, romance and atmosphere of our wedding last Friday.

The harp music during the ceremony was really very moving and contributed to many a moist eye in the hall.  She was extremely professional about her work and it was a pleasure dealing with someone so calm and experienced on the day.  Once I get the official photos through, I will make sure I forward any useful ones for you.
Thanks again for creating a wonderful atmosphere for us.
Kind regards, Ben and Bondine

Dear First Choice,

Thank-you for providing Harpist SE20 as my harpist for my wedding day on 23rd July, she really added something very special to my day and I am therefore very pleased to give you a reference for her.

Not only was she exceptionally professional but her playing was beautiful and created a lovely atmosphere during our wedding breakfast. Many of my guests commented on how wonderful her playing was.
